Chief

February 2007 - August 20, 2024

Chief's journey began on the streets of Ferriday, Louisiana, where he was found as a stray at just four months old. From the moment he joined our family, Chief was loved deeply, spoiled thoroughly, and grew into a strong and loyal companion. 

Chief's loyalty and love were most evident in the bond he shared with Grandma. As a young puppy, he taught himself to wake her when her blood sugar dropped. As they both aged and she faced challenges with mobility, Chief was always by her side, offering a gentle nudge when she needed it most. He never left her side, especially when she wasn't feeling well. Their bond was unbreakable, and Chief dedicated his life to ensuring Grandma's safety and comfort. 

After Grandma's passing, Chief continued to be a cherished member of our family, bringing us the same love and devotion he had shown her. Now, Chief is at peace, reunited with Grandma, where they can keep each other company once more.

 Chief, you will forever be missed, but we are thankful for the 17.5 years we had with you. Fly high, sweet boy. We love you always and will never forget you.
