Jim was rescued, with his mother and brother, by our late mother, who took in stray cats from the neighborhood over the years. Our veterinarian estimated his age at 19 to 20 at his death. Jim lived most of his life in the back yard, by his choice, and “retired to indoors” several years ago. He loved nothing more than having his head caressed and being brushed. His needs were simple: a warm place to sleep, good food, fresh water, occasional treats, and avoidance of conflict. He was a good kitty, and we will miss him.
