Sawyer “Phoenix” Carter

Phoenix was born on July 5, 2009 and found his mom five weeks later. He passed away sleeping on his mom on March 23, 2025. He was 15 years, eight months, and 18 days old.

Phoenix never knew what it was like to live the “d” life, that word was not in his vocabulary. He only knew he was “Momma’s Boy” and “The Family Fave.” He was spoiled rotten and slept on his mom’s arm at night!

He is survived by his mom, Tasha Chatham, two dads, Robert Chatham and David Carter, brothers, Jared (Shelby) Carter, Parker (Destiny) Carter, and Gator, sisters Preslee Carter, Elle Chatham, and Mia, nieces, Scarlet Carter and fur niece, Kocer Carter, and one nephew, Oak Wilder Carter. He was preceded in death by his fur niece, Nola Carter. He is also survived by his grandparents, Jimmie and Brenda Lamb (Pawpaw and Momma Bren).

He is so loved and missed, and will forever be!!
